2011 Winter Nationals

Jacob played on a 18U club team this fall and they entered the 2011 Winter Nationals. There were teams from Colorado, California, Texas, Oklahoma and New Mexico. There were 24 teams in the 18U division and Jacob's team ranked 6th. Not bad at all. They played in Goodyear over 4 days. Long but rewarding:)

Woods Canyon Lake

We took the kids fishing at Woods Canyon Lake today. We headed up to Payson at around 6am. We stopped at the Beeline Cafe for breakfast before making it the rest of the way to the lake. We decided to rent a boat for 2 hours since there were still rentals available when we arrived. I found a spot to set up my chairs and let the guys head to the water. It sprinkled a little but mostly the weather was great. I packed sandwiches for lunch. When they turned in the boat we ate lunch and waited for the boys to get tired of fishing on the shore. I think each of the boys caught one fish each. Good family time.

Monsoon 2011

I will never understand how we can go from clear skies to dirt filled skies in a matter of seconds. I was going to BBQ until this came in. Who wants McDonalds?

Campo Verde Varsity Baseball

Jacob pitched the first home game of the 2011 varsity season at Campo Verde. This is Campo Verde's first varsity season and Jacob is playing varsity as a sophmore. He was very excited to make the team. When he isn't pitching he also plays 1st base.

Go-Karts

Recently every spare minute has been consumed with riding go-karts. If they are not doing that, they are fixing them or begging me to drive them to get parts. Josh has learned to buy them cheap, fix them up and sell them for a profit. I think he has had 3 go-karts in the past month and has made quite a profit. Must have learned that skill from his dad.
